Patient Code of Conduct

A safe and healthy environment for all

At Mackay ENT Specialists, our medical providers and administration staff are dedicated to providing exceptional care in a welcoming and respectful environment. We expect visitors, patients, and accompanying family members to adhere to our Patient Code of Conduct. By attending our practice, you agree to uphold this standard and understand that failure to do so may result in discontinuation of treatment.

Patients Agree to:

  • Be courteous and respectful at all times.

  • Arrive at least 5 minutes before their scheduled appointment to avoid delays.

  • Follow our Infection Control Policy by informing us of symptoms before entering the practice (cough, fever, sore throat, rash, runny nose, diarrhea, or vomiting).

Patients Acknowledge:

  • Appointment times are reserved specifically for them and require at least 4 hours’ notice for cancellations to allow others to use the slot.

  • Failure to attend an appointment will incur a non-attendance fee.

  • Repeated late cancellations, late attendances, or non-attendances will result in suspension.

  • The specialist may need them to book additional appointments for multiple issues.

Patients and Visitors Will Refrain From:

  • Intimidating, aggressive, insulting, or disrespectful behaviour.

  • Abusive language, menacing gestures, shouting, or verbal/physical threats.

  • Racial or cultural slurs or other derogatory remarks related to race, language, gender, sexuality, or age.

  • Attending under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs.

  • Damaging or stealing practice property.

  • Allowing children to disrupt other patients or staff.

  • Loud conversations or noise from mobile phones and other devices.

Our providers and staff are committed to delivering the best possible care. Please show them the respect they deserve and that you expect as a patient or visitor.
